The English preparatory education started in 1978 with the opening of Preparatory Classes in the Faculty of Medicine and in 1979 in the Faculty of Business Administration. On March 28, 1983, with the establishment of Erciyes University, all foreign language education conducted at Erciyes University began to be carried out under the Department of Foreign Languages, which was affiliated with the Rectorate. In 1998, the Department of Foreign Languages was transformed into the School of Foreign Languages, and foreign language education at our university is still carried out by the School of Foreign Languages.
